SRC 018: A Thousand Cuts (2012)

If your idea of entertainment is watching a character's story arc go from complete asshole to complete pussy in the space of 77 minutes, this might be the cinematic turd for you.

A Thousand Cuts deals with a narcissistic Hollywood director (Michael A. Newcomer) who find himself a victim of one of his own torture porn flicks when a mysterious stranger (Michael O'Keefe) shows up at his swank home to exact some personal revenge.

This cinematic snoozefest is available for streaming right now on Netflix, or available for rental at your local Redbox if you have some spare change to waste.  Regardless, your best bet (as always) is just to listen to the podcast and leave this material to the professionals.

Our special guest this time out is Michael A. Newcomer, who plays the Hollywood director Lance Ross in the film.  Newcomer is a veteran of the stage, having appeared in such lavish productions of Pride & Prejudice, The Glass Menagerie, and The Manchurian Candidate.  Judging by this masterpiece, he REALLY needed a job.

Sitting in for cinematic flusher Katelyn Morey this week (she's out on assignment) is previous guest and horror veteran  Maria Olsen.  Maria has appeared in such well known properties like American Horror Story, Percy Jackson, and Paranormal Activity 3.  She's soon to be seen in the upcoming Rob Zombie witchfest, The Lords of Salem.  If anyone is qualified to help flush this cinematic turd, it's definitely her.

Sit back now and give a listen as Honor, Kate & Kris flush you down the cinematic bowl with A Thousands Cuts...
