SRC 119: R.I.P.D. (2013)

When your action/fantasy plays more like a series of unused special effects shots from far better films like BEETLEJUICE, GHOSTBUSTERS, and MIB than it does its own unique property, you know you've deado-ed your way into the Restroom...

R.I.P.D. deals with a Boston cop (pre-DEADPOOL Ryan Reynolds) who gets knocked off by his partner (slumming Kevin Bacon) only to get a second chance in the afterlife by partnering with cowboy Jeff Bridges to police various escaped CGI souls who are hiding out on Earth.  Many dull action scenes, one liners, and CGI effects to follow.

This spookless mess is available for streaming on Amazon, VUDU, and YouTube, but as always, you're better off leaving this snoozer production to us and finding some other CGI ghost hunt to keep yourself awake.

Special guest this time out is veteran actress (and returning favorite) Maria Olsen, who has over 150 credits to her name and counting.  She's best known for big budget fare like PERCY JACKSON and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, but can also be seen in many other indie projects, including the critically acclaimed, STARRY EYES.

Sit back now and give a listen as Griffin, Crest, & Knight flush you down the Cinematic Bowl with, R.I.P.D...
