POMPEII deals with a slave (Kit Harington) having to fight for his life in the doomed city of Pompeii only days before the big eruption. He also catches the eye of a landowner's daughter (Emily Browning) and a scene chewing Roman senator (Kiefer Sutherland) who killed his parents years earlier. What follows are a lot of forgettable soap opera nonsense, endless sword fights, and boring conversations until a CGI eruption thankfully wipes them all out.
This ash filled disaster porn is available for streaming on Amazon, VUDU, and YouTube, but as always, you're better off leaving cinematic hellfire to us and watching something more upbeat like DANTE'S PEAK or VOLCANO instead.
