SRC 173: The Spirit (2008)

When your hyper stylized 40's character homage plays more like a bad SIN CITY ripoff than it does a thrilling inner city adventure, you know you've spirited your way into the Restroom...

THE SPIRIT deals with a rookie cop (Gabriel Macht) who is brought back to life by the villainous Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) and becomes a shadowy crime fighter in an effort to save his city before Octopus can drink the blood of Hercules and become immortal.  What follows are 103 minutes of nausea inducing visuals, sexist dialogue, parkour action scenes, and Jackson chewing so much scenery they had to use a green screen for the set.

This SIN CITY cinematic suburb is only available for purchase online (thankfully), so as always, you're better off leaving this comic panel turd to us and go watch the actual SIN CITY again instead.

Sit back now and give a listen as Griffin, Polton, & Knight flush you down the Cinematic Bowl with, THE SPIRIT...
