SRC Stall #12: Sand Sharks (2011)

If you think the above poster art might indicate a fun, B movies send up of the film Jaws, you'd better think again.  We're in the Soiled Restroom Cinema, after all.

Sand Sharks deals with a bunch of barely onscreen, crappy prehistoric CGI sharks that apparently can swim in the sand as they terrorize the residents of Catalina Island.  Combine that with the stellar acting skills of D list stars like Corin Nemec and busty Brooke Hogan and you have the makings of one giant cinematic turd.

This mess is available for streaming right now over at Netflix, but as always, you're safer just listening to the cinematic viewing professionals in this podcast.

Our special guest in the Restroom is Maria Olsen, a quadruple threat in the industry as an actor, writer, producer, and director.  Whew!  She has appeared in such mainstream fare as Paranormal Activity 3, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and Fox's American Horror Story.  Fortunately she does not appear in this cinematic turd.

Sit back now and give a listen as Honor, Kate & Kris flush you down the cinematic bowl with Sand Sharks...
